Job Title: Retail Leasing Manager

About the Role

Property Kumbh is looking for a dynamic and target-driven Retail Leasing Manager to lead leasing activities for retail spaces (shops, showrooms, retail outlets, and commercial retail properties) across Lucknow.

You will focus on attracting quality retail tenants (national & regional brands, F&B outlets, services, etc.), optimizing tenant mix, achieving high occupancy levels, and driving rental income growth. This role combines proactive business development, strong relationship management, and deep retail market knowledge to establish Property Kumbh as the preferred destination for retail leasing in Lucknow.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail Tenant Acquisition & Leasing: Identify, approach, and acquire high-potential retail tenants (national/regional brands, local retailers, F&B outlets, etc.) to achieve and exceed leasing targets.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective retail tenants through regular engagement, site visits, and personalized solutions to secure long-term leases and renewals.
• Market Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth research on retail market trends, competitor analysis, footfall patterns, and tenant requirements in Lucknow to identify new opportunities and optimize tenant mix.
• Marketing & Promotion: Plan and execute innovative marketing strategies, including digital campaigns, broker networks, property promotions, and events to maximize visibility of available retail spaces.
• Proposal & Negotiation: Prepare compelling leasing proposals, negotiate competitive rental terms, incentives, and lease conditions to close deals effectively.
• Tenant Mix & Occupancy Management: Work towards maintaining an ideal tenant mix that enhances footfall and synergy among retailers while ensuring maximum occupancy and rental income.
• Networking & Representation: Represent Property Kumbh at retail industry events, trade shows, broker meets, and networking forums to generate quality leads.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead the retail leasing team, set ambitious targets, monitor performance, and provide training & mentorship to achieve consistent growth.
• Lease Administration Support: Coordinate with legal and operations teams for smooth lease documentation, handover, and tenant onboarding.

Role Requirements / Qualifications

Education

• Undergraduate: Any Graduate
• Postgraduate: Any Postgraduate (preferred, especially MBA in Marketing/Sales)

Experience & Key Skills

• Proven experience in retail leasing, mall leasing, or retail real estate sales (3–8+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of the Lucknow / Uttar Pradesh retail real estate market, including high-street retail, shopping complexes, and emerging retail hubs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding leasing/sales targets.
• Strategic thinking and ability to analyze market data for tenant acquisition.
• Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and basic digital marketing tools.
• Leadership and team management abilities.

Additional Advantage

• Prior experience working with national retail brands, franchisees, or in shopping malls.
• Knowledge of retail lease structures, common area maintenance (CAM) charges, and turnover-based rentals.
